BLUETOWN has received a trial license for TV White Space. The license allows us to conduct trials using TV White Space technology in the Greater Copenhagen area from the test platform at our headquarters.
TV White Space is a technology that uses gaps in the wireless spectrum that are left by the television networks between TV channels. It is possible to provide broadband internet access through these unused broadcasting frequencies.
As TV White Space can propagate better than microwaves through vegetation, buildings, and other obstacles, it enables BLUETOWN to reach rural communities even farther away from existing connectivity infrastructure. This brings us closer to achieving our goal of connecting the unconnected across the world.
