BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) is an Indian government-owned national teleoperator. BLUETOWN and BSNL together provides Internet connectivity for rural India under the “Digital India“ program. Target is 15.000+ rural villages in East India deploying more than 50.000 Wi-Fi hotspots.

GoIP
GoIP Global Services Pvt. Ltd. is an India based leading IT Solutions and Services Company with presence in South East Asia and North America. GoIP and BLUETOWN is in a partnership working on the “Digital India” program and creating connectivity in rural India, based on a contract and Partnership agreement with BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited).

SES
SES is one of the world’s largest satellite operators and the first to deliver a differentiated and scalable GEO-MEO offering worldwide. SES has integrated BLUETOWN’s solutions into its product portfolio, and BLUETOWN uses the satellites of SES for backhaul for our systems in the most remote areas.

DANIDA
Danida (the Danish International Development Agency) is the name of Denmark’s development cooperation, which is an area of activity under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. Through the Danida Market Development Partnerships program, Danida supports BLUETOWN’s project with the NGO CARE in Ghana. Danida also supported BLUETOWN in deploying 20 sites in Tanzanian villages in 2017.

Geeks without frontiers
The vision of Geeks without frontiers is to positively impact the lives of a billion people in the next ten years through the innovative use of technology, connectivity and sustainable social enterprise models. BLUETOWN and Geeks without frontiers partner on the VillageConnect initiative to connect 20 villages in each of 5 targeted countries.

PlanBørnefonden
PlanBørnefonden is one of Denmark’s largest development organizations funded by private sponsorships and partnerships. PlanBørnefonden is part of Plan International, one of the world’s largest organizations working with children’s rights and present in more than 70 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. PlanBørnefonden works with children’s development and needs, starting from childbirth and until the young people have achieved an education. BLUETOWN and PlanBørnefonden are partnering on a large-scale internet connectivity project in Burkina Faso.

International Insurance Development Agency (IIDA)
International Insurance Development Agency (IIDA) is a specialist company dedicated to facilitating protection to for some of those communities who need it the most by innovating and disrupting the micro-insurance market. IIDA is using BLUETOWN last mile Wi-Fi and Local Cloud as a sales- and communication channel for micro-insurance as a developmental enabler for local communities, thus enhancing the common vision of IIDA and BLUETOWN of creating sound and sustainable business by providing real and long-term benefits and developmental potential to those who need it the most.

Digital for Inclusion (D4I)
The D4I initiative is a multi-stakeholder partnership aimed at providing affordable internet access in underserved or unserved rural communities nation-wide in Ghana. BLUETOWN is the last-mile connectivity partner in the D4I partnership group. The other partners are: Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), Ghana Cocoa Board, National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI), United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), and Zeepay.

Yahsat
Yahsat provides multipurpose satellite solutions (government and commercial) for broadband, broadcast, government, and communications use across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe in addition to Central and South West Asia. Based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and wholly owned by Mubadala Investment Company, the investment vehicle of the Government of Abu Dhabi, Yahsat is the first company in the Middle East and Africa to offer multi-purpose Ka-band satellite services.

Project Connect
Project Connect is an NGO working to map every school in the world and provide real-time data assessing the quality of each school’s Internet connectivity. BLUETOWN and Project Connect partner on sharing school connectivity data as well as conducting impact studies when connecting schools.

University of California
University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) seeks to improve California’s future by providing leadership through research and education on sustainable food systems, environments, and communities in California. UC ANR is using BLUETOWN on an Ag-Tech and IoT-based project to investigate how farming can benefit from digitalization.

Microsoft
Microsoft Corporation is one of the world’s largest multinational technology companies, headquartered in Washington, United States. In collaboration, BLUETOWN and Microsoft will provide broadband internet access to 800,000 unserved people in Eastern Ghana, using a combination of Wi-Fi and TV White Space technologies. The project will connect local public institutions and businesses as well as public areas, e.g. bus stations. The partnership also includes technical collaboration on developing innovative solutions and expanding global internet access.

CARE
CARE Danmark, part of the large NGO CARE International, works to strengthen the capacities of poor people living in rural areas. As part of our Danida Market Development Partnership, BLUETOWN and CARE are creating new sustainable business models that combine BLUETOWN’s last-mile connectivity solutions with CARE’s local presence and development activities within agriculture and climate adaptation for small-holder farmers in Ghana.

GAPI
Gapi is a local development finance institution in Mozambique. Together, BLUETOWN and Gapi was selected as one of the winners for USAID’s WomenConnect Challenge for our project ‘Women in the Network (WIN)’ that contributes to bridging the gender digital divide for women in rural Mozambique.
