Vibrant Gujarat Summit in India – 2019

11. February 2019kirsten

In January 2019, Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen headed a large Danish business delegation to the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in India, which in 2019 focused on ‘Shaping a New India’. Our CEO Peter Ib, COO Carsten Brønd, and Chairman of BLUETOWN India Satya N. Gupta were part of the business delegation, which also included the Danish Confederation of Industry and executives of several of the largest Danish companies.

During the Summit, the Danish Prime Minister was present for the signing ceremonies of our two new MoUs with Indian companies. For the first signing, Mr. Shailesh Gupta, Executive Director, represented RailTel Corporation of India, a Government Private Sector Unit of the Ministry of Railways. For the second signing, Mr. Kamendra Kumar, Director (Technical), represented Telecom Consultants of India Limited (TCIL), a Government Private Sector Unit of Ministry of Communications and IT. The Danish Prime Minister also had a meeting with Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.

At BLUETOWN, we are excited to witness the strengthening of relations between India and Denmark. As apparent from our two offices in India, in New Delhi and in Ranchi in Jharkhand, as well as our many connectivity projects in the country, India is one of our largest markets. In 2019, we are rolling out even more of our sustainable Wi-Fi solutions in India.
