BLUETOWN signs a Memorandum of Understanding with NITA and GIFEC
BLUETOWN is to setup a number of Rural Wi-Fi installation in Ghana, as pilot project in collaboration with NITA and GIFEC.
BLUETOWN signs a Memorandum of Understanding with NITA (National Information Technology Agency) and GIFEC (Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication) and the first pilot installation will be in the area around HO in the Volta Region.
BLUETOWN is exited to get this support from the government body’s under the Ministry of communication and The minister of communication has asked NITA & GIFEC to support BLUETOWN in this pilot project.
“This acknowledges BLUETOWN as a serious player in rural communication in Ghana, and will open opportunities both in the private and public sector in Ghana”, says Mogens Birk, VP Partnership & Alliance
NITA (National Information Technology Agency), is a public service institution in Republic of Ghana and are the agency responsible for implementing Ghana’s IT policies. Read more: http://nita.gov.gh
GIFEC (Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication) is an agency of the Ministry of Communications who facilitate the provision of universal access to basic telephony by the unserved and underserved communities in the country and include the provision of access to electronic services including ICT, broadcasting, internet, multimedia service and basic telephony, by the unserved and underserved communities in Ghana.
